"Father, I feel like You've abandoned me. In my head, I know that's not true, and yet I struggle to see Your goodness. Have You forsaken me?"
That was my heart cry during a recent dark night of the soul. The next morning I awoke to "Who You Say I Am" playing on Lynn's alarm clock. I got in my car, and it was the first song on the radio. The next day I experienced the exact same thing. For several days my Father kept singing this song to me, a song of His love for His son.
"The LORD your God is with you,
The Mighty Warrior Who Saves,
He will take great delight in you;
in His love He will no longer rebuke you,
but will rejoice over you with singing." Zephaniah 3:17
This word from Abba restored my soul.
Are you struggling to get God's goodness? Do you feel abandoned by the Father? Are you wondering whether He's forsaken you?
This song's for you!

Who am I that the highest King Would welcome me? I was lost but He brought me in Oh His love for me Oh His love for me
Who the Son sets free Oh is free indeed I'm a child of God Yes I am
Free at last, He has ransomed me His grace runs deep While I was a slave to sin Jesus died for me Yes He died for me
Who the Son sets free Oh is free indeed I'm a child of God Yes I am
In my Father's house There's a place for me I'm a child of God Yes I am
I am chosen Not forsaken I am who You say I am You are for me Not against me I am who You say I am
I am chosen Not forsaken I am who You say I am You are for me Not against me I am who You say I am I am who You say I am
Who the Son sets free Oh is free indeed I'm a child of God Yes I am
